Indoor U11 Age Group

Olds Indoor Soccer Teams 2025/2026 Season for age group U11!

We are excited to offer Indoor Soccer in Olds for the 3rd year!

We offer an indoor soccer program to the U13, U15 and U18 age group as well, see 'Indoor U13, U15 and U18 Age Groups' information!

Age groups move up for the indoor season:

U11 team: players born in 2015 and 2016

Practice will start the end of September! The U11 teams will practice at the Olds Elementary School twice a week on Monday and Wednesday between 4-8 pm. Times will be discussed with coaches and a schedule will be made closer to the start of the season.

We are looking into a more competitive option in the U11 age group; however, this depends on the registration of clubs in CASA (Central Alberta Soccer Association) and the number of players that register in our club. We hope to have enough players in Olds for two teams in this age group. We are thinking of try-outs and asking parents their preference for the more competitive stream. By not enough interest in a competitive stream, we will make 2 even teams, similar to last year and both teams will play in the Red Deer Recreational Indoor Co-ed Soccer league. We don’t know until the middle of September when CASA closes their registration. We will contact everyone that is registered and on the wait list in September to communicate the options and go from there.

One team (maybe both teams) will play in the Red Deer Recreational Indoor Coed Soccer League, all games will be played at the Collicutt Centre in Red Deer on their boarded soccer pitches (7 players, including goalkeeper).

Below is the Red Deer League game schedule of the 2024/2025 indoor season (late October/early November to early March) to give you an idea of what the game schedule most likely will look for the upcoming 2025/2026 season:

  • U11 - Sundays, games in afternoons; couple of games on Thursday evening.

If there is a more competitive league at CASA and enough interest in Olds, the more competitive team will play at the Dome in Red Deer and have 1-2 games at the Camrose location.

We have limited spots available per team, registration will open on July 1st and closes on August 31st 2025, it will be first come first serve, with a cap of 14 players per team. We open up 14 spots for registration and 14 on the wait list for this age group, we have the full intention to have two U11 teams, so please sign your child up on the waitlist if it is full.

The cost will be $375 for the season (Sep-Mar).

Coaches and Volunteers

We are looking for coaches, coach helpers and team managers, please email our indoor soccer coordinator, Anke Wierenga (omscindoor@gmail.com) if you are interested in coaching Olds Indoor Soccer Teams.

  • A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector is mandatory and must be provided prior to the season commencing. Olds Minor Soccer will supply you with a letter to take to the RCMP so you may have this done for FREE of charge.
  • The "Rule of Two," governed by Big Country Soccerand the Alberta Soccer Association, requires two parents per team to ensure a safe and supportive environment for our young players.
  • Team Managers will be required this season. This parent volunteer role is essential in supporting coaches by coordinating minor team logistics, schedule changes, and ensuring clear communication between the team, coaches, and parents. Team Managers will simply help to keep the team organized! If you are interested in volunteering for this role, please email the club for more information or reach out to your team's coach when assigned.

Please spread the word about our indoor soccer teams, this is open to players in Olds and surrounding towns!

Have a great summer, hope to see you in the fall!
